Rescue Me ID: 17-02-03-00050Papi (male)

Bichon Frise Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adult Men Only
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

My name is Papi and I am a mix of ShihTzu and Bichon Frise. My owners adopted my sister and I when we were only 8 weeks. I will be 4years this spring. I love being around people but I prefer a quiet household . I will be your best companion and be near you all the time. I love to go for walks or run free in a fenced-in yard. I can bark pretty loudly when the UPS or mail carrier comes by. I can also nip and have a tendency to be territorial..and so I can be unpredictable around the friends of the kids . Therefore I am probably best suited in a grownups-only household.

Rescue Me ID: 17-01-27-00153Wynter & Muffin (female)

Bichon Frise    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Muffin (Cockapoo Female Age 16?) and Wynter (Bichon Female Age 11) are a bonded pair and are absolutely adorable!!! Sweet and loving! Both have had full checkups, blood work, and are up to date on vaccines. All tests came back healthy! We are having their teeth cleaned at the end of Feb, which is all that needs to be done. Wynter & Muffin's Mommy put them in Boarding at Petsmart just after the new year so she could have routine knee surgery. Sadly Wynter's mommy died during surgery and Wynter and her sisters were stuck in boarding not knowing that their mommy will never return to get them. Muffin is the most affectionate of the two and ... (Read More)loves to put her paws up on your lap and get attention. She is a total lap dog and just loves to be held or cuddle next to you. She is quick and agile and runs around like a young dog 1/2 her age. She can also jump up on the bed and does stairs like a pro. (Her real age is unknown, her former owners vet guessed her age as 8 years old / 8 years ago when she was adopted) I think she is much younger... probably 12 or 13 at the most. Wynter is overweight, 22 lbs (Probably from eating both her food and most of Muffins) She can go down stairs with help from you steadying her with her leash and can go up 2 or 3 stairs, but as of now... any more than that, she would have to be carried up. Muffin is underweight, 9 lbs. I have Wynter on a diet and walking routine, that has already had her lose 2 lbs last week. Muffin is on a 'Fattening up' diet and is being fed 3 times a day till she gains back some weight (She really should be about 12-13 lbs. Both are housebroken / wee wee pad trained, they will need some time and patience to adjust to a new home and routine. If taken out often during the day, they don't go much on the pads but will always need them overnight. They seem to get along great with other dogs and they LOVE people. They do bark at cats, so probably a home without cats is best. Wynter & Muffin are in Northern New Jersey so you should live within 3 hours driving distance if possible. Both these beautiful girls deserve a new loving home to live out their lives with people who love them.
