Rescue Me ID: 16-06-22-00538Ace (male)

Bichon Frise    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Ace is a very sweet 11 month old male Bichon. He is NOT house-trained so whoever adopts him MUST have the time and patience to house train him. (We can give you some belly bands for him to wear till he is trained). He needs to be neutered which our vet in West Caldwell, NJ can do prior to or just after adoption (depending how fast he get's adopted), so you would have to be willing to take him back and forth for his vet appts and neuter surgery at our vet. He is great with children & other dogs. He loves to play and is very, very sweet. His current family did not think it through when then purchased him as they work full time & Ace spends ... (Read More)his days all alone, all day, every day... and their older kids are not home till after 5 every day but with homework and teen activities there is no one to play with him. Ace needs a home where he can get more attention than they can give him. As he is still a puppy and needs training a home where someone is home most of the time or only works part time is a must. If you are interested in adopting Ace please fill out an application at this link: http://www.bichonrescuenj.com/bichon-frise-rescue-nnj-adoption-app.html If you have previously filled out applications with OUR rescue before, then please email me with your name and email address and I will look up your application. Please do NOT CALL, we do not return phone calls till we have your application to review. Due to the large volume of applications we get (especially for a young dog like this) we can not answer every application. If we feel you are a possible match we will email you back with additional steps. Note you MUST live in Northern or Central NJ or at least within 2 hours driving distance of Northern NJ to qualify. Rescue Me ID: 16-06-10-00174  (male)

Bichon Frise    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Brady - 9 and Laney 11 are a bonded pair. Their daddy just went through a divorce and is moving to an apartment that doesn't allow pets. He wants them to stay together & sadly has to give them up. Both are neutered/spayed, vet checked with a clean bill of health, up to date on vaccines and have amazing temperaments. They love people, kids, dogs and cats and would do well in any home. They are both house trained, however, Brady may have some accidents inside if you leave him for too long. For times when you are not home or away from him for a period of time, we suggest putting a Belly Band on him. (We can supply you with some) They work ... (Read More)wonders and if he did have an accident, it would go into the pad in the Belly Band. These two are just the sweetest pair and deserve a loving home and a family or person to love them for the rest of their lives. (remember Bichons live long lives and can live to be 18 or 19 if healthy), so these 2 have a lot of years left to love! They will come with all their things, water & food bowls, leashes, crates, two sets of bedding, a unopened bag of dog food and their toys to start you out. They currently reside in PA and the current owner is willing to skype to meet them and see how wonerful they are, once your application is approved. If you are interested in possibly adopting them, please fill out an application at this link: http://www.bichonrescuenj.com/bichon-frise-rescue-nnj-adoption-app.html (Less)

Bichon Frise    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Nancy is an 11 year old female Bichon, spayed and up to date on shots. Her owner died and she is now living with the owners daughter. But Her life was so turned upside down that she has some fear issues. She is usually very sweet but if startled may growl or nip. She needs someone that is experienced with dogs and has the time and patience to help her trust her new home. She does not do stairs well so a ranch home would be best for her. She would also do well with a retired person that has no other pets so she can be the center of attention. This little girl just needs a chance to trust and love again. She is fine with meeting dogs on the ... (Read More)street but in her space, she prefers to be the queen. Rescue Me ID: 16-04-30-00306Gizmo (male)

Bichon Frise    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Gizmo is a young acting, 13 year old Bichon. His mommy lost her home and has been living in motels with him, but she knows that is no life for him or for her. She has someone that will let her stay with them, but she can't bring Gizmo with her because they have a Pit Bull that is NOT dog friendly. It will take her far too long to get back on her feet and knows that he needs a new home where someone can love him and give him the stability she no longer can give him. Gizmo has been well loved and cared for and it shows. He is neutered, healthy, friendly, great with kids, dogs and cats and just loves everyone. He is a healthy 21 lbs full of ... (Read More)love. He loves to cuddle, loves to take walks and is very affectionate. He will even Bichon Buzz around like he was still a puppy His only issue is may need to wear a belly band overnight or anytime he does not have access to go outside often. So far our foster says he has had no accidents inside! Other than that he is an amazing, loving little boy that needs a loving home to live our his golden years. If you are interested in giving this sweet boy a home please fill out an application at: http://www.bichonrescuenj.com/bichon-frise-rescue-nnj-adoption-app.html (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-03-26-00104Romeo & Juliet

Bichon Frise    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Fixed, Vaccinations Current

Romeo & Juliet are a bonded pair and we would like to keep them that way. They are very, very attached to each other. They were found together on a side street in Eastern PA not far from the NJ Boarder in the middle of the street. Police, ASPCA, local vets and neighbors in that area were all called and no one knew who they belonged to and no one has reported them missing. They had no collars, no leashes, and were not microchipped. (it was later discovered that someone saw a man dump them there and drive off). Romeo is probably between 5 & 8 years old, and Juliet about 8 or 9 years old. They had a FULL Checkup, Blood work, Urine, Fecal, ... (Read More)Heartworm Tests, updated vaccines and FULL DENTALS by our vet and have a CLEAN BILL OF HEALTH! They are VERY Sweet and love all people and love to greet anyone they meet with enthusiastic tail wagging! They are both house trained as long as they are taken out at least every 4 hours. For overnight or times when you can't take them out for a longer period of time, they are also wee wee pad trained as well. Romeo can also wear a belly band (that we will supply) overnight till he is used to your home and routine. Once you find it stays clean for several nights, then it may not be needed after that. They do bark at other dogs when on walks, so a home without other pets is recommended, or a home that has only another submisive spayed female dog. (But that would have to be tested) These 2 sweeties are only available for adoption together, as we will not split them up. The ideal home for them would be with a senior couple or senior / retired person that can spend time with them as they really love being with their human(s). Even a work from home person or other person that is home most of the time. they would also be fine in a family with older kids (no babies or toddlers please). They love kids and adult alike. If you are interseted in adopting them together please fill out our application at this link: httpa//www.bichonrescuenj.com/bichon-frise-rescue-nnj-adoption-app.html:::http://www.bichonrescuenj.com/bichon-frise-rescue-nnj-adoption-app.html (Less)
