Rescue Me ID: 15-08-25-00610MAX (male)

Bichon Frise    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Max is a 5 year old, male Bichon boy. He is house trained, up to date on shots, 13.5 lbs, very healthy, good with other dogs and kids and very loving! He was a family dog, but mostly a companion to an elderly lady who passed away last month. The family can no longer keep him due to emotional problems with one of the family members, so they have to say goodbye to both Max (and his 7 year old German Wirehaired Pointer brother Panzer). Max would be great in a family that has a stay at home mom, someone that works from home or part time, or a retired person or couple. We prefer not to place him in a home where his people will be gone all day as ... (Read More)that would not be fair to him... he is used to being loved all day long! If you are interested in adopting Max and you live in New Jersey or the immediate surrounding area to NJ, please fill out our adoption application at this link: PS: if you are also interested in adopting his brother Panzer let us know that as well... however they can be separated so it is NOT necessary to adopt both. Rescue Me ID: 15-08-13-00124Minnie (female)

Bichon Frise    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament

Minnie is a sweet & funny little Bichon Girl (She is only 10.5 lbs). She is about 8 years old, loves people, dogs and good around kids. Her elderly owner was put in a nursing home and she was bounced around to 2 different fosters before landing here with us. We have her fostered for now, but need to find this little girl a real home! She loves to be with her person so a stay at home retired person or work from home person would be ideal. Minnie is learning to go outside (her previous owner didn't really take her out), so till she is fully trained she wears a diaper or can be gated in a non carpeted room with a wee wee pad. Our vet gave her a ... (Read More)full checkup, blood work, urine etc... she is VERY HEALTHY and all came back perfect! She does need a dental and a few teeth pulled so we have her scheduled for that at our vet in West Caldwell at the end of August. She loves to walk, loves to cuddle, loves attention! In the mean time we need a foster that can take her starting next week (our current foster is leaves fore vacation on 8/21) You can foster first to see if you want to adopt, or just foster only and my current foster can take her back on 8/29 or 8/30 when she returns. Please contact us if you are willing to either foster or foster with hopes to adopt. You can fill out an application at this link: (Less)

Piggy is a 7 yo bichon Pekingese. I need to rehome his ASAP because my family is displaced due to divorce. My ex has put the children (college age) and pets out of the house and I cannot have pets where I am. My oldest has all three of our dogs (Westie and a Lab) she cannot have them there past Monday 7/13. Please help. Piggy is sweet but can be a little timid around strangers. He likes cuddles and playing with his stuffed toys. he has on occasion been a little aggressive with the other two dogs over meal times. He's quickly corrected and stops the behavior. Also scared of thunder and fireworks.
