Rescue Me ID: 15-01-02-00556Clover (male)

Bichon Frise    Age: Young Puppy

Health: Needs to be Neutered

Meet itty bitty Clover! Clover is just a wee 8 pound male Cotton De Tulear. I picked Bichon because Cotton is not a choice. Clover is only 12 weeks old. Clover's mom is very allergic to him so we're going to find him a new home. Clover is a sweet baby at only 12 weeks, but he has fear of new people and all dogs. For this reason he would do much better in a quiet home with low traffic. No apartments or townhouses please. Clover barks at new sounds so we don't want you to be put in a difficult position with neighbors. He quiets down, but we know how neighbors can be offended by barks! No children under 18 please. Because of ... (Read More)Clover's fearful behavior we are donating 4 sessions with a positive dog trainer. Even though he is a puppy if his fears are not addressed with a positive reinforcement program , he will always be fearful of new people. You know the dogs that run up to you barking like crazy when you first enter your friend's home? The dog's that nip at your pant leg or hand? This is what we are going to help you avoid. Clover is a big kisser and loves to jump up and lick faces once he trust you. He plays with his toys in a funny way as he'll jump on the toy and run around and jump back on it then look at it and then jump back on it again. He's used to a potty pads when you leave the house. He's fearful on walks so once again the training you are provided with will help with that. We know there is a quiet family who will be able to provide Clover with the love and positive reinforcement needed to get him over his fears. We look forward to hearing from you soon! ;) Examples of training Clover is continuing to help him overcome his fear of people- This particular video shows Clover when he is showing fearful behavior. In a more stressful situation you can anticipate Clover will be barking loud and if not handled correctly he may nip at your guest pant leg. This is why the positive training is required for his adoption. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pp26qm7-gIw&feature=youtu.be https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xL68TqPgiw&feature=youtu.be http://youtu.be/cc6uz3KW_PE Adoption application here- http://fs8.formsite.com/Caringhearts/form1/index.html (Less)
