|Rescue Me ID: 16-08-22-00193Princess (female)|
Princess is a 4-5YO, 20lb, Poodle/Bichon mix. Princess was attacked by a big dog in her home. Her owners didn't wanna deal with her injury's so they dumped her at the shelter instead. Princess was in so much pain and her eye had been fully ripped out, so we got her out of the shelter and to a vet right away. The vet did have to fully remove her eye, but it doesn't seem to phase her at all! Princess is the sweetest little girl. She loves snuggles and affection. As her foster said "she is just a big teddy bear". Princess really has an A+ personality. She gets along great with the fosters grumpy older dog, and with her high energy kids. she doesn't mind the boys running around etc. When Princess first came into foster she just wanted to sit around and seemed pretty depressed. Now that she has had time to settle in, she is starting to get her happiness and playfulness back. We envision Princess going to a home where she will get snuggles and affection all the time. Princess would love a forever family that will take her on walks, teach her how to play with toys (and not couch cushions), and above all, someone who will snuggle her and love her till the end of time. Princess just has such a happy personality - even with everything she has been through - anybody would be lucky to have her. Princess is working on potty training, but will probably need a little encouragement in her forever home since she has been shuffled around so much she can sometimes get confused. Bichon Frise Dogs can make good pets in Colorado if they match your IifestyIe. The Bichon Frise is a cute, small, lovable dog. Bichon Frises are very companionable and like to go everywhere with their people. Bichon Frises get along wonderfully with children and other pets. Bichon Frises need to run and play and get plenty of exercise; in addition to playing, they need to be taken on regular walks. Bichon Frises do not yap indiscriminately and they make good watchdogs.
