     A very nice lady in Florida turned to Rescue Me to find a home for her nine year old Bichon, Pooky. Pooky is new to Florida and developed anxiety attacks when hearing the severe thunderstorms that occur in our state. Her owner was heartbroken to let her go, but knew Pooky needed a home where someone could be with her all day to help her feel secure. Pooky is a healthy, well mannered, loving little lady and a fantastic addition to our family. Thank you very much to the very nice lady who loved Pooky enough to let her go and thank you to Rescue Me for helping us find our perfect match.

     This has been an amazing day. Dali was discovered by her original owner on Rescue Me after I posted her information. Today is bittersweet because Dali is now home with her Mom and I miss her already. When I rescued Dali, she had big health issues, and I am committed to support the original owner with keeping the quality of life Dali deserves. I am really glad I was there to intervene. I have learned a lot about rescue and it is hard. Thank you to Barkley's Dog Wash and Boarding Spa. They are so amazing!      I am so happy that I found Rescue Me! My little Bichon Frise/Poodle and my older Bichon had lived happily together for two years. I came home to see that Buddy Girl had attacked Vegas, leaving more than 18 bites that had to be sutured. I loved both these dogs, but could not keep them always separated in my home as was clearly needed. I had several IMMEDIATE responses after posting and found a retired couple who had NO OTHER pets. They came over and it was LOVE at first sight! The husband knew about the $50 adoption fee that I wanted donated to Rescue Me, and while my little gal was on his lap, licking his face, he put a $50 bill on my coffee table and simply said 'we would really like to take this cutie home, but would it be alright if we renamed her 'Baby Girl'. After a little more interaction I knew this was the right home for my gal. I am grateful to Rescue Me for their wonderful work, and also to Beverly and Tony for taking her into what I know will be a loving home.

     I had many people interested in my little Bichon, but there was one gentleman that stood out. He recently lost his little dog. He and his wife were overwhelmed by the grief of losing their little dog. Even though it took awhile for him to get to us to see each other face to face and him to meet my little Bichon, I just felt that he was the right person for her and she was the right dog for him. He just adopted her last night and he was so happy and grateful for her. I just feel that it was the right decision. She is a very sweet, loving, happy little dog, and I think that she will be very happy with him and his wife. They will be very happy with her. It was very hard for me to let her go, and my daughters and my granddaughter felt sad that she was adopted, but glad that she was getting a good home. Rescue Me is a great website that helps connect people with pets to give them a good home. Thank you so much.

     My wife and I lost both of our fur babies in a matter of six months! Fluffy, a 15 year old Pomeranian, and Moses, a 13 year old Maltese, both passed away. Our hearts were broken. Someone told me about Rescue Me. I searched and searched for dogs that would fit our needs and budget. Then, we saw Sophie on Rescue Me. Her owner had passed away and the daughter worked long hours, which meant Sophie spent lots of time in a cage. Sophie was brought to us by the daughter and she decided to let us have Sophie. We are so thankful to God, Rescue Me and the daughter! It has been two weeks now and Sophie has settled in and adopted us. We feel so much love for our new furbaby and look forward to more good things to come. Thank you all!

     You just never know what can happen. We lost our dog over a year ago and were not thinking of getting a new one anytime soon. But my friends and family all have pets and we began to realize we were missing out. I had looked at a few websites and never found a pet I wanted to reply to. Until, Tilly. Her story was so compelling that I knew I had to answer her post on Rescue Me. We talk via email, then by phone and made an arranged pick up date. Meeting Tilly for the first time seems like we have always been a family. Thank you everyone for making all this possible.

     I found our sweet little Bichon whom we have named Lacey, on the Rescue Me website. The minute we saw her we fell in love with her. Having had a Bichon for 15 years we knew we wanted another one. My experience with the foster Mom and Dad was very pleasant and you can tell they love dogs. They rescued her from a breeding facility so she is shy and timid, but with a lot of love and attention she will so happy. Thank you Rescue Me!

     After one year of unemployment, I decided I needed to find a new home for my five year old male Bichon, Frankie. It was important to me that he went to the home who loved dogs and would give him the attention he craves. I asked my vet how to find the right place and she suggested a breed specific rescue site. One google later I was on Rescue Me! I posted a Frankie's photo and answered questions regarding his health, temperament, etc on Wednesday night. Inquiries came via email in less than one hour, phone calls began the next morning. The first caller asked all the right questions: vet, heart worm prevention, how he got along with other dogs. And she owned a female Bichon one year older than Frankie! We arranged to meet Friday afternoon, the soonest we each could fit it into our schedules. The two dogs immediately took to each other, playfully chasing through the playground. I answered more questions about Frankie, how he handles different situations, and learned more about the home and the people he would live with. Then we sent him, his kennel and heart worm medicine off to enjoy his new family! I'm very thankful to this wonderful website for putting me in touch with so many good people who love dogs. I had many calls and offers that would have fit well with Frankie's needs. This makes it somewhat easier to let go of this sweet dog who has been a part of my life for five years.

     I'm very happy that I discovered the Rescue Me website. Sadly, I found myself in a position needing to rehome my two beloved Bichons after several years as their parent. I became a widow last year, and this year I realized I need to sell my home and move into a rental condo. I didn't know if a rental condo would offer enough space for my Bichons to enjoy, and to be home alone for so many hours each day. I felt it would be the best thing to send my Bichons to a new loving home, but it was important that they stay together. Eight days after my post, they were adopted by a loving couple who had never been able to have a dog due to the husband's allergies. She works from home and always wanted the companionship that a loyal doggie could offer. Recently, he discovered his allergies were not affected when he was with their friend's Bichons. On a whim, they searched Rescue Me for a Bichon. And they found both of mine! After some discussion over the course of the next week, they finally came to my house to spend some time getting to know my Bichons and of course fell in love immediately. Later that night, they sent me a picture of my Bichons making themselves at home on their sofa. A few days later, the husband called to thank me again because they have brought great joy to their home already. It was a hard decision to make and follow through on, and without Rescue Me I may never have found this wonderful family for my Bichons. Thank you!

     Rescue Me was vital to me and my family. I don't know what the fate of my dog would've been if I hadn't found this site and I was very surprised at the amount of responses for Casper. I'm very happy to report Casper has been adopted by a loving family. He's far away, but this family is kind enough to keep us posted on how he is doing. I'm confident this was the right thing to do and he is with the right people. :-) I will happily offer a donation so other families struggling to find a good home for their pet can utilize this site.

     Rescue Me was such a huge blessing to us!! My mom was unable to care for Sophie any longer, but wanted so much for her to go to a loving home. We posted Sophie on Rescue Me in a matter of minutes (SO user-friendly and fast), and within an hour or two we began receiving calls and emails about her. The day after we posted her, Sophie was picked up by her new owners. They have called twice to tell us how thrilled they are with Sophie and thank us for her. Such a huge relief to my mom!! Rescue Me was exactly what we needed to get the word out about Sophie and get her into a great home. Thanks so much!

     I was pleased that I was able to find a site like Rescue Me. I did not want to have to take Sunshine to a local pound or shelter. The first day I posted Sunshine, I received a call and arranged a meet. Now Sunshine has an absolutely wonderful home. She took immediately to her new owner and now I feel relieved knowing she will be happy and treated like a queen. Thank you for setting up this site.

     We moved and Toby made the 1100 mile trip without any problems. In fact, he slept almost all the way. We moved into a 55 and older community that allows dogs. I've had Toby since he was six weeks old. He will be nine next year. Needless to say, it was breaking my heart to even think about having to part with him. But circumstances made me face reality and do what was best for him, not me. I had several inquiries about him, and after emailing several people many times, I found what I feel was the right choice for him. He will have another Bichon to play with in a high, fenced, huge yard. His new owners only live about 30 miles away and gave me their address so, if I want, I can visit him any time. They even gave me their vets' name so I could check to see what type of pet owners they were. Toby has always been standoffish with anyone he came in contact with, but much to my surprise, he went up to them, didn't back away from them and even let them pet him right away. To me, this was a very good sign. Of course I was crying the whole time, but Toby jumped right up in the seat and was wagging his tail. He never did that before with anyone, not even members of my own family who were around him many times. So after checking everything out and seeing for myself how he responded to them, I can rest a little easier knowing that I made the right choice for him, but the heartache of letting him go will take a lot longer to deal with. His new owners promised they would send me pictures and keep me updated on how he is doing. I am so very thankful that I found Rescue Me. I don't know what I would have done without it. I hope every one who has to let their beloved pet go, for whatever reason, will have the same wonderful results as I feel I have.

     I was contacted by many people interested in my dog Zoey. After filtering the emails and talking with several people, I knew Laura was going to be the one for Zoey. I met up with Laura and her boyfriend and knew it was going to work out. I know in my heart after meeting Laura that she will give her a great home with all the love and attention Zoey needs. Zoey was sharing my house with 10 cats, 8 indoor and 2 outdoor. I'm sad that I had to give her away but it is for the best and it was hard to do this as I've never had to give away a pet that I loved. However, I am getting older and taking care of all these animals, also have a bird and a tank full of fish, takes a lot of work. I am very happy that Zoey will be in a home where she can be the focus and princess that she is. I will always love Zoey and will cherish our memories, and know she will be loved by Laura and make new memories in her new home.

     After being diagnosed with a rare illness at the age of 42, I knew I had to make a very difficult decision to rehome my purebred male Bichon Frise, Chandler. Even though I love him, I could no longer physically keep up with his demands on my time and energy. My only concern was in finding him the best home possible. After receiving 12 responses within the first 24 hours, I made the decision to hold a meet-n-greet at a local dog park with the family I thought could meet his needs best. Coincidentally, they were the first ones to contact me about him. Some of my requirements were that the family have young children, other dogs, and a fenced yard, all of which I knew he needed to thrive. We ended up staying at the park for quite a while visiting and watching the children run around and play with Chandler. What a fun time they had! Chandler, my boy, went to his forever home that day. I spent some time crying afterward, tears of sorrow and joy at the same time. I knew in my heart I did the right thing. I want to express my thanks and gratitude to Chandler's new family for giving him a loving, caring home and to the founder of Rescue Me! for this wonderful site. Last week I saw Levi, and yesterday he came to his forever home.      Rescue Me! is incredible. I got over thirty responses for Kenai and Denahi, so many wonderful people that wanted to adopt them, it was very difficult to choose, but one person really stood out and her name was Cathy. Cathy drove five hours from Michigan with her daughter Caitlin who was home from college and met her friend Marsha who drove two hours from Iowa to meet 'the boys.' I was very impressed with all three women, they seemed loving and caring and the boys were actually very good with them when they first met. Cathy took them home and promised to keep in touch, we left the adoption open ended so if she feels she cannot keep them we will bring them back home. Our family wants everyone to be happy but I know it will work out, the boys are absolutely adorable and loving, we miss them already and they have been gone less then 24 hours. This site has provided me with the reassurance that our little boys are in a wonderful home with a person that won't be anything but loving, giving and caring and provide them with the attention that they could not get with us.

     Your web site is amazing, we recently have had some changes to our family which is causing my wife and I to travel for extended periods of time and we were concerned that we would not be able to place our two family pets, one a Maltese and the other a Bichon Frise.      Although Bella was not adopted through this site, I was extremely surprised as to how many inquiries I received once I posted Bella's picture and information. I honestly did not expect to have such a high volume of interest, which was really great.      Happy was adopted last week. Several people had inquired about her, but the one that comes to mind is the little girl that fell in love with our little girl Happy. This child has allergies to dog dander and could not have dogs that have that dander. Happy, a Bichon Frise did not cause any allergic reaction and the child was so glad. Happy liked her and they play together. I keep in touch with them from time to time to see how everything goes. We miss her, but this was what she needed. She is the center of this little girls world and the little girl is the center of Happy's world.

     'Rescue Me' is a great web site. I listed my Bichon Frise, 'Charlie' on a Monday, and on Tuesday he was adopted by a very nice lady and her children. I had also continued to receive emails inquiring about 'Charlie' until I finally listed him as adopted. The web site was an easy format to listing my dog and I will recommend to others to use this site for their animals. I was sorry, and sad to see 'Charlie' go, but now he is in a better place where he can get the attention that he needs. Way to go 'Rescue Me'.
